الإنترنت تحتفل باليوبيل الفضي لـ "دوت كوم" طباعة أرسل

تحتفل الإنترنت يوم 15 مارس/آذار بالذكرى الخامسة والعشرين الفضية لانطلاق "دوت كوم" وذلك عندما سُجل أول عنوان "دوت كوم" على الشبكة العنكبوتية.
ودخلت شركة "سمبوليكس لأجهزة الكمبيوتر" في مساشوشيتس بالولايات المتحدة عام 1985 كتب التاريخ باستخدام عنوان إنترنت ينتهي بكلمة دوت كوم.
وفي السنة ذاتها انضمت خمس شركات أخرى إلى عالم الإنترنت الفتي لكن الخدمة المقدمة كانت بطيئة.
واستغرق الأمر أكثر من عشر سنوات أي عام 1997 قبل تسجيل العنوان المليون (دوت كوم) على الشبكة العنكبوتية. وقال كبير المديرين التنفيذيين في شركة فيريساين المسؤولة عن مجال الدوم كوم إن "ميلاد الدوت كوم مهم للغاية لأن ما نحتفل به هنا (الدوت كوم) هو البوابة التي تتيح الولوج إلى عالم الإنترنت".
وأضاف قائلا "من كان يتوقع قبل 25 سنة كيف سيصبح الإنترنت اليوم...إن هذا الحدث مهم حقيقة".
لم يكن اسم دوت كوم متداولا على نطاق واسع خلال الثمانينيات والتسعينيات من القرن الماضي، ويتفق العلماء على أن إدخال متصفح الإنترنت "موزايك" من قبل شركة نيتسكايب إلى الخدمة أدى إلى انتشار الإنترنت على نطاق واسع.
ويُذكر أن استخدام الإنترنت أصبح جزءا لا يتجزأ من نسيج الحياة المعاصرة علما بأن 668 ألف موقع إنترنت يُسجل شهريا في مختلف أنحاء العالم.
واليوم أصبحت مواقع الإنترنت المختلفة وسيلة للتسوق والتفاعل الاجتماعي وحجز العطلات ووسائل الترفيه واكتساب مهارات جديدة وتبادل الأفكار.
وقال روبرت أتكينسون من مؤسسة تقنية المعلومات والإبداع إن "الإنترنت دخل إلى حياتنا على نحو لم نكن نتصوره...نرى اليوم كيف أن الإنترنت أثرى حياتنا إذ إن الأشخاص غير المعنيين بعالم الإنترنت يستطيعون التأقلم لكن يظلون متخلفين مقارنة مع باقي الناس المعنيين بعالم الإنترنت".
وترى دراسة أجرتها مؤسسة تقنية المعلومات أن "هامش أرباح الشركات التي تستخدم الإنترنت زادت بنسبة 2.7 في المئة أي نحو 1.5 ترليون دولار...أي أكثر من مبيعات الأدوية في العالم والاستثمار في مصادر الطاقة المتجددة والاستثمارات الحكومية في البحث والتطوير مجتمعة".
وبحلول عام 2020 سيساهم الإنترنت بمبلغ 3.8 ترليون دولار في حجم التجارة العالمية أي أكثر من الناتج المحلي الإجمالي لألمانيا.
ويقدر عدد مستخدمي الإنترنت على مستوى العالم بنحو 1.7 مليار شخص أي أن ربع سكان العالم يستخدمون الإنترنت.
إن الإنترنت ينمو نموا مضطردا وسريعا لم يكن بالإمكان تصوره قبل 25 سنة عندما اتخذت شركة كمبيوتر الخطوة الأولى باتجاه ربط العالم مع بعضه البعض.
